Today's Spotlight Shaun T

Shaun T grew up in New Jersey, receiving a BS in Sports Science with a minor in Theater and Dance from Rowan University. After graduating, Shaun T entered the corporate world as a health and fitness specialist/personal trainer and earned a position as the health program manager at one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies Wyeth. With a passion for helping people improve their lives mentally through physical triumphs, Shaun T branched out into commercial fitness and dance, working with companies like Equinox and other health chains, as well as fitness personalities, such as assisting Kathy Smith in the development and choreography for Project: You

Shaun T’s accomplishments span the entertainment industry. He has shared the stage with Val Kilmer and Adam Lambert in the musical version of The Ten Commandments, as well as landing roles in Pippin and Applause. Shaun T’s television and film credits include Tyler Perry’s House of PayneSix Feet Under, and Beauty Shop starring Queen Latifah. Shaun’s love and talent for dance propelled him into touring with Mariah Carey, dancing for Travis Payne and Jamal Sims, and assisting with Tony Gonzalez in the cheerleading blockbuster movie Bring It On: All or Nothing.
Riding on the heels of his successful dance career, Shaun T partnered with Beachbody to combine his passion for fitness and make history with the #1 selling home fitness infomercial program, Hip Hop Abs, in February 2007. Sweeping the nation by helping people shed fat and build strong abs through fun and encouraging dance routines, Shaun T recognized the need to fight childhood obesity by helping kids and preteens get into shape. He created two new workouts, Shaun T’s Fit Kids Club (for ages 7+), and Get Real with Shaun T (for preteens), before launching his next big hit, Rockin’ Body, packed with new dance moves and more calorie-burning workouts choreographed to popular music.
Still, Shaun T’s biggest fitness accomplishment came in 2009 when INSANITY debuted and forever changed the face of home fitness through 60 days of Shaun T’s proprietary Max Interval Training. INSANITY has since held its rightful place as the #1 selling infomercial on TV, helping a world of people DIG DEEPER and get the most insane results possible in the shortest amount of time. With follow-up programs INSANITY: THE ASYLUM Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Shaun T helped people embrace their inner athlete and achieve permanent success through health and fitness, even earning notoriety with professional athletes and Olympians using the programs to train for their sports.
In 2013, Shaun T released Focus T25 targeted at affecting positive lifestyle changes in people across the world. Shaun T proved that becoming the best version of yourself is attainable through investing as little as 25 minutes a day in YOU, regardless of fitness level or experience.
With the recent debut of INSANITY MAX:30 in December 2014, Shaun T once again redefined what is possible for people to achieve in just 30 minutes. With a modifier and no equipment other than a willing body and mind, Shaun T elevates challengers to new levels of fitness success through dedicated cardio and Tabata strength workouts. The focus is not about making it through all 30 minutes—it’s about finding your MAX by pushing yourself just a little bit further than you did yesterday.
Today, Shaun T is doing what he loves best—developing, traveling, and helping people attain their goals through physical and mental challenges.
